**Reminder - Please log on and check your child's second marking period grades. Grades were posted on February 1st. The parent portal for grades Pre-K through 4th grade will remain open until Wednesday, February 15th. If you have problems accessing your account, please contact the main office.

2012 Spring Gala & Auction Tickets On Sale Now!
Invitations to the KTEF's 2012 Spring Gala & Auction were sent home today with your child, and are also available in the Main Office and under the "KTEF" tab at www.kingwoodschool.org. Our ticket price remains the same as last year - $50 per person until 3/2/12 ($60 per person after) - and this year includes dinner and dancing to Broken Arrow DJ Dave Wilson, as well as open bar (6-10 pm; cash bar 10-11 pm).
In addition to the wonderful prizes previously mentioned (2 Tickets to The David Letterman Show, 4 One-Day Parker Hopper Passes to Disney World Orlando, Private Tour and Wine Tasting for 6 at Villa Milagro Vineyards, and a PlayStation 3 Entertainment System), our auction will also feature:
Please join us at the Sergeantsville Fire Company Ballroom on Saturday, March 24, 2012 as we raise money for programs to benefit our KTS students, as well as honor our 2012 Hall of Fame Award recipients: Geoff Hewitt (Alumni Award), Linda Ormosi (Retired Educator Award), and Anthony DeSapio Jr. (Community Service Award). Starting this week we will highlight one of each of our 2012 honorees:
Geoff Hewitt – Alumni Award
Geoff Hewitt, current Principal and Supervisor of Curriculum of the K-6th Grade Lambertville Public School, grew up in Kingwood Township and graduated from KTS in 1987 and Delaware Valley Regional High School in 1991. Geoff earned a B.S. in Biology and a Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in the areas of General Science and Biology from Delaware Valley College of Science and Agriculture, and then a New Jersey Teaching Certificate in the same areas.
Geoff taught sixth grade science for eight years at the Reading Fleming Middle School, during which time he earned an Educational Leadership Master’s Degree from Delaware Valley College. Geoff then accepted an administrative position at Barley Sheaf Elementary School, where he remained for four years, serving as Vice Principal for three years and Acting Principal for one year. The KTEF is thrilled to welcome Geoff to our Hall of Fame!

The Winter Ball/Middle School Dance has been rescheduled to February 3rd to accommodate the PTA Family Ski Night.
ATTENTION 8TH GRADE PARENTS: Cap and gown retake pictures are scheduled for January 25th.
