  • AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT

    Dear Staff, Parents, and Guardians,
We have been notified by the State Police that yesterday a student was arrested after admitting writing a bomb threat at Delaware Valley Regional High School in April of this year.  All case materials and information relevant to this issue will be forwarded to Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office pending review and deposition through juvenile court.
We have also been informed by the State Police that a student at Alexandria Middle School has also been identified by law enforcement for writing a threatening message at the middle school yesterday.  That student's actions  are currently being addressed by the State Police.
On behalf of our Delaware Valley Regional High School District, we extend our thanks and appreciation for the quick response and vigilance of the State Police, Prosecutor's Office, and all other personnel involved in helping us resolve the recent bomb threat at Del Val.  We also thank our parents and staff for their thoughtful suggestions about how to  improve our evacuation procedures.
Please know that we take any threat against the safety and well-being of our students seriously and will aggressively seek to resolve any issue of this nature.  Thank you for your continued support and assistance in helping us maintain a safe environment for our students, staff, and community.
    Sincerely,
    Elizabeth Nastus

The NJ Biology Competency Test will be administered to all students enrolled in and completing a high school course in Biology for the first time during the 2012-2013 school year. This State mandated test will take place on May 21 and 22. Make-up dates are May 23 and 24. We encourage you to make sure your child is in school for testing as required. This test is a part of the "new wave" of mandated testing such as those subjects tested on the HSPA. It is not a graduation requirement at this time.
