HOMEWORK EXPECTATIONS
Students are responsible for recording all homework assignments in their Agenda books.
Students will typically have Language Arts homework with a focus on vocabulary within context for each Journeys lesson.
In addition, students will typically have Mathematics homework on a daily basis. (I will specify evens, odds or all.)
Students will be assigned a weekly writing prompt each Monday. Students will work to brainstorm and create a rough draft due each Wednesday. Moreover, the final copy will be due by Friday of that week.
There will not be homework on Fridays with the exception of ongoing projects (such as the Book Talk project which contains specific due dates in terms of the journaling and complete book talk).
The homework assigned will be meaningful and will not exceed the grade level specification (i.e. - Grade 5=50 minutes).
