    Welcome to 2023-24 SchoolYear. I have been teaching Language Arts in the Alexandria School District since 1999, and have taught 5th-8th grade.  I graduated from Ramapo College and received my teacher's certification from Kean University.  I also went on to receive a Master's in Education from Seton Hall University, and a Master's in Educational leadership from Delaware Valley College.  I have coached lacrosse, soccer, basketball, and baseball at AMS, as well as Odyssey of the Mind.   
     

     

     


     

    Based upon the identified Essential Standards, students in Sixth grade will continue developing reading skills. They will apply these skills to independently read a variety of complex informational and literary texts. Students will develop and apply speaking and listening skills to comprehend messages, collaborate with peers and present knowledge and ideas. Lastly, students will develop and apply knowledge of language conventions and vocabulary to regularly produce and distribute a variety of text types.
