• Ms. Semanchik graduated from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania with a dual degree in health and physical education and obtained three minors in coaching, community health and sports/exercise psychology. After graduation, Ms. Semanchik had the opportunity to teach at a high school level where she taught health, physical education, wellness and drivers' education. She also coached women's and men's fencing, women’s lacrosse and earned a certificate in personal training.

She then had the opportunity to move down to West Virginia to work as a Graduate Assistant for West Virginia University to obtain a Masters degree in physical education/teacher education. Her duties as a graduate assistant entailed supervising undergraduate teachers, research and development within the field of physical education, and working within the university’s laboratory school as a full-time elementary physical education teacher.
Ms. Semanchik then moved back to New Jersey, where she has now been a teacher within the Alexandra Township School District for twelve years! For seven of those years, she also worked as an adjunct professor at Raritan Valley Community College! So, whether it is pre-school or even at the college level, she hopes to bring more opportunities for students to learn about fitness and sports concepts, the application of physical activity in everyday life as a life-long goal, all areas of health education and overall achievement towards a healthy life and high academic success.
