  • Scarecrows 2017

Posted by Tricia Hurley on 11/1/2017

Another year of fabulous and spooooooky scarecrows from our middle school. This year, we moved it after school with the help of the PTO. Thank you to all the parent volunteers who helped us after school! And thank you to our fabulous artists that stayed after school and worked so hard to make them!

You can see photos of the scarecrows by our local photographer, Bill Brokaw's website.

They sold their products at the Music, Art, and Enrichment show this year as well as collected items to donate to Lulu's Rescue. Posted by Tricia Hurley on 12/16/2016

Last year, our student designers, Paws Claws Couture worked to raise money and supplies for Lulu's Rescue. Paws Claws Couture, (Megan Dursee, Kate Bach, and Grace Pristas) created fashions for people and dogs. The year culminated with a fashion show that starred actual rescue dogs from Lulu's.

    Ornaments at Holiday Concert

As a continuation, Kate of PCC is now working with Michaela Turton and Katie Leese to create DIY projects. They recently sold DIY ornaments our our annual Holiday Concert, with the help of Heidi Haver. They raised $50 for Lulu's! They will continue to work towards this cause throughout the year.

  • America Recycles Day at Frenchtown School

Posted by Tricia Hurley on 11/24/2015

We had a great time with Jenelle, owner of Trash N2 Tees!! Author, artist, and activist Jenelle Montilone shared her passion for recycling using t-shirts that would otherwise be headed for the landfill, upcycling them into new creations. Check out Jenelle's blog  and her book, The Upcycled T-Shirt.

She also gave us the opportunity to add to what will soon be the world's largest T-shirt yarn ball!

Check out this article from the Hunterdon County Democrat!
