Please complete the following items over the summer. Read the Sayre article and listen to the lectures for background in viewing art. You will then view a work of art (either online or in person) and write a formal analysis of it. I have provided you with an example that I wrote a few years ago (please don't judge me). If you have any questions over the summer, please contact me, but allow for a few days to respond. The essay will be due on Saturday September 10th (via online submission). This will give us some time to address any problems or concerns you may have and make any revisions to your essay.
