Bill Petty - A teacher for 32 years, 30 at Del Val,
Bill retired from coaching after the fall season in 1992
and retired from teaching in 1993. Because of his
passion for coaching, he returned in 2004-2005 as
Girls JV Basketball Coach. Since 2006, he has been a
Substitute Teacher. In 2007, he became Assistant Boys
Track & Field Coach. In 2008, Petty took over as the
Girls Head Track & Field Coach. He started coaching
in 1965 and has coached both Boys and Girls Track &
Field as Assistant and Head Coach, Boys and Girls
basketball at the JV and Freshman level, and Boys
and Girls Cross Country as Head Coach. In Cross
County over a 23year period, his overall record was
229 wins and 84 losses. Two undefeated teams in
1974 and 1975 went 32-0. The undefeated team in
1986 was 16-0. Petty's Cross Country teams qualified
for State Tournament action 9 times, winning 3
Sectional Group I or Group II titles. He also had a
streak of 10 conference titles, 8 straight, in the
Delaware River Conference and in 1992, his last
season, a Raritan Division title in the Skyland
Conference. An Express-Times article in January of
2008 said Petty was so highly respected as a Cross
Country coach that the 'Petty Fun Run', which kicks
off the Cross Country season for the Hunterdon and
Warren County teams, was named in his honor. In
Track & Field, Petty has coached more than 20
years as Assistant and Head Coach. As Head Coach
he had 3 consecutive girls conference titles in 1983,
1984, and 1985 and was the Head Boys Coach
when the only boys title was achieved in 1988.
In 1983 Petty was honored by the New Jersey
    Interscholastic Coaches Association (NJICA), the
predecessor of the New Jersey State Interscholastic
Athletic Association (NJSIAA). In 1983, Coach Petty
was inducted into the NJ Coaches Hall of Fame
in Cross Country. In 1993, he was named Skyland
    Conference Coach of the Year.

    Britney DeVincentz - A mathematics
teacher at Del Val , this is my third year
of teaching.  I love being a teacher, and a bonus for
working at Del Val is having the opportunity to be a
Coach .  When I was in high school, I began running and
was  part of the cross country and track teams.  After high
school, I continued running because it is a true passion
of mine.  I often participate in races of all distances
ranging from 5K's  to Half Marathons.  I am very
    excited for this year's season.

Jason Farnsworth - Jason begins his 7th
year as an Assistant Track & Field Coach, and his 2nd as the Boys Head Coach. He has also served as
Freshmen football. Prior to that he was the Boys and
Girls Cross Country Head Coach at Warren Hills where
he also served as an Assistant Coach for the Track &
Field team. Jason has been coaching high school sports
for 7 years. He attended York High School in York, PA
and completed his college degree at Kutztown
University in 1998. Jason is employed as an Art teacher
by the Hunterdon Educational Services Commission.
