Ms. Jennifer MacDade

¡Todo sobre mí! All About Me!

¡Hola! My name is Jennifer MacDade and I teach Spanish here at Delaware Valley High School. I was born and raised in Hunterdon County and am so excited to become a new member of the Del Val family! Prior to arriving at Del Val, I had the privilege of teaching in variety of educational settings, including urban and suburban public high schools in Pennsylvania.

I fell in love with Spanish language and culture during undergraduate study abroad in Valencia, Spain. A few years later, I changed careers to become an educator, where I get to combine my loves of Spanish and working with people. I am passionate about the benefits of world language study as well as making learning a positive and rewarding journey. As a lifelong learner, I believe that all children can learn. I seek to spark a curiosity in students about the world around them. My goal is to create a welcoming and warm classroom environment where students feel comfortable to take risks and have fun, while being held to high standards. Since I believe in a communicative approach to language learning, students in my classes will consistently engage in interactive activities, with the goal of developing the ability to express oneself in the target language.
