    K-4:

In all of my classes throughout the year, we have learned basic rhythmic notations such as half note, quarter note, eighth notes, and quarter rest. As the grades get older, we include other notes and rests, but for now, I'm keeping it simple. Below is a video tutorial I made to show the basics of how we patch/clap these rhythms. I have also attached a box rhythm sheet and a note sheet to go along with the video. This is just an exercise you can use to keep the kids occupied and continue their music skills as we are quarantined. I plan to have other videos uploaded soon with other ideas for all of you.

Please feel free to send me pictures and videos of your music/Spanish time. If you do, please let me know if I have permission to upload them to my school web page. I think it would be fun for all of us to see each other "in class". You can send them to me in an email or share them to my school email address gniedziejko@kingwoodschool.org.

    Thank you!

    Have Fun!!!
