Instilling a love of learning at a young age is invaluable. As a teacher of very young students, I find myself playing a variety of roles over the course of the school day; teacher, friend, nurse and mother. I want each child that enters my classroom to feel as though he or she is the most important person to me. I strive for an environment that is safe, welcoming, inspiring and nurturing. By planning lessons that teach to the whole child, I hope to arouse a sense of wonder and inquiry; invoke compassion, kindness and good citizenship in my very young students.
