IMPORTANT NOTICE: NEXT STEPS IN OUR RETURN TO SCHOOL PLAN
On February 22, 2021 the Delaware Valley Regional High School Board of Education accepted the recommendation for the next phase in our return to school plan. We all look forward to the day where we can return to our traditional, full-time, in-person instructional model, together in our classrooms with our students and colleagues. Until that time, we must keep in mind the external factors that must be taken into consideration as we move each step closer towards our goal.- Our full school day hours shall be restored (7:37am - 2:26pm)
- We will return to our full A/B Block (84-minutes)
- Blue/Gold Teams shall be retained for 6-ft social distancing purposes, and will remain on their current respective in-person and synchronous remote schedules (status quo)
- We will retain Asynchronous Wednesdays during a 5-day school week (status quo)
In order to accomplish this next step we will have to make certain that all of the behind the scenes logistics are secured. These include:- Instructional transition from modified block back to a full block (55 minutes to 84 minutes)
- Student schedules reflecting a full school day
- New lunch blocks/bell schedule
- Transportation
We are working diligently to make certain the transition happens as quickly as possible, and we need to ensure it is done properly. As soon as the start date has been established you will be notified. In the meanwhile, please begin making preparations. As we move from moderate (yellow) to sustained low (green) COVID risk, and the social distancing recommendations are softened, we will be looking at additional steps to bring us even closer to our goal.Thank you for all of your efforts as we do our best to make our way through these difficult times. -
