Summer School at Del Val

This summer, Delaware Valley Regional High School will once again provide students with the opportunity to retake a course for high school credit or enroll in an enrichment course. These courses will be in-person and transportation will be provided for those requesting it upon registration.  All courses are free of charge.

Credit Recovery
Students will have the opportunity for credit recovery in the following subjects:

  • English 9-12
  • Algebra I
  • Geometry
  • Physics
  • Global Studies
  • US History I/II
  • Spanish I/II

Classes will run 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday) from 8:00 am to 11:00 am, beginning Tuesday, July 5, 2022 and ending Friday, August 5, 2022.  Students must complete 60 hours of instruction to earn credit.

Math Enrichment
These non-credit bearing courses are designed to strengthen the mathematics skills students will need to advance in their mathematics course sequence. Students will complete a total of 30 hours of instruction.

The Algebra I Refresher course is available for students who are enrolling in Geometry or Algebra II in the fall of 2022.  This course will benefit students whose mathematics achievement was significantly altered by the pandemic.  Classes will run four days a week (Monday-Thursday) from 8:00 am to 11:00 am, beginning Thursday, July 13, 2022 and ending Thursday, July 28, 2022.

The Pre-Calculus course is available for students who are interested in meeting the prerequisite for AP Calculus AB.  This course is open to students who completed Algebra II Honors.  Although this course will not contain all of the content in our Pre-Calculus Honors curriculum, it will focus on the most relevant concepts needed for success in AP Calculus AB.  Classes will run from 8:00 am to 11:00 am on the following dates: July 11-14, July 26-28, and August 2-4, 2022. ** Based on the number of interested students, this course may follow an alternate schedule, which may include asynchronous learning activities.

SAT Prep
(This course is only available to students who will be a junior or senior in the 2022-23 school year.)
Students will have the opportunity to prepare for the SAT through a week-long SAT Prep course. This course will be offered during two different weeks this summer, with each week consisting of 2 days of math and 2 days of verbal instruction. Students may choose to take either the math or verbal prep classes, or both.  Classes will run from 8AM to 11AM during the weeks of August 1-4 and August 8-11.  Math prep classes will meet on Monday and Wednesday; verbal prep classes will meet on Tuesday and Thursday.
