Board of Education Goals

2024-2025 Board Goals:

  • As a reflection of our ongoing commitment to professional development as a full board of education, we will continue to pursue board certification by December of 2025.

  • To advocate for reimbursement for our tuition expenses. Additionally, to collaborate with all of our sending districts in our advocacy efforts to promote a sustainable, predictable, funding formula that is fair and equitable for all school districts.

District Goals

2024-2025 District Goals:

  • Develop data teams in tested areas of Math, Language Arts, and Science to evaluate student achievement and growth and develop recommendations for curricular updates, instructional strategies, professional development, and student remediation.

    • Collect historical data points for students that include Grades 6, 7, and 8 to allow for tracking longitudinal data.

    • Identify meaningful internal data points that support improving instruction and identifying needs.

  • In an effort to attract and retain students, review student enrollment in existing Academies, and expand Academy offerings to meet evolving student interests and goals. 

    • Pre-Education Academy

    • Business/Finance Academy

  • Further enhance school climate through the development of DVRHS Student Leadership programming that promotes student voice in building school culture, and preparing for opportunities beyond DVRHS.

    • Develop programming within the Leadership Summit to foster positive cultural change.

  • Creation of a DVRHS Leadership Cohort that builds capacity among district staff members and provides support to pursue projects that support student achievement and growth.

    • Identify and invite staff members into cohorts each year to build individual capacity and engagement with district goals.
