A NOTE OF GRATITUDE FROM MR. CAMANO

Dear Choral Program Families and Students,

It is with deep gratitude and a sense of bittersweet reflection that I share the news of my resignation from my position as Director of Choral Activities/Vocal Music Teacher at Delaware Valley Regional High School, effective June 30, 2025.

Over the past three years, it has been an absolute honor to lead this incredible community of young musicians. I’m so proud of all that we’ve accomplished together—from powerful performances and memorable trips to the meaningful bonds we’ve formed through rehearsals, laughter, and shared purpose.

I’ve been continually inspired by the dedication, talent, and heart each of you brings to our choir family. Whether in quiet moments of growth during rehearsal or the joy of taking the stage, these memories will stay with me always.

While this decision was not easy, I believe it’s the right next step for my personal and professional journey. Please know that this change in no way lessens my love for this program or my admiration for every student who has been part of it. I have full confidence that the program will continue to grow, thrive, and bring beautiful choral music into the world.

Thank you for your support—whether it’s been over the past three years, two years, or one. Your encouragement is a vital part of what makes this program so special. To the Boosters, thank you for your constant dedication to ensuring our students have access to every opportunity. One of the things I’ll miss most is the close-knit, supportive community that defines Del Val.

I’m especially grateful to our cafeteria workers and administrative assistants for their tireless work behind the scenes, to our tech team, building & grounds, and transportation staff for keeping everything running smoothly, and of course to my Fine & Practical Arts Department for their constant collaboration and camaraderie.

Thank you also to the school administration and board of education for your trust, support, and guidance throughout these past three years. I will always cherish the experiences I’ve had at Del Val, especially as this was my first teaching job. Working alongside such talented and dedicated colleagues has been an absolute privilege, and I will miss Del Val very dearly.

I'm looking forward to leading the commencement choir one last time next Friday as we celebrate and send off the Class of 2025.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to spend these three incredible years with you. This was a meaningful beginning to my career, and I can’t wait to see where the universe takes me next.

With all my appreciation and warmest wishes,

Mr. Adrian Camano

Concert Choir (Curricular)

Concert Choir at Delaware Valley Regional High School is a mixed-voice ensemble for singers eager to strengthen their vocal skills and grow as expressive, confident performers. This year-long course builds upon foundational vocal techniques—such as body alignment, breath support, resonance, diction, and ensemble blend—while introducing more advanced concepts in a supportive and collaborative setting. Students will explore a diverse repertoire spanning a variety of genres, designed to enhance musicianship and build performance confidence.

Annual performances include the Winter Concert (December), District Arts Festival (March), Spring Concert (May), and Commencement Ceremony (June). Students may also take part in exciting opportunities such as performing at Walt Disney World every four years. Dress rehearsals outside of school hours are announced on the first day of class and are required and graded.

Concert Choir also helps prepare interested students for auditions in the Annual Winter Musical and honors ensembles such as the CJMEA Region II High School Choruses, NJMEA All-State Choirs, NAfME All-Eastern, and ACDA Eastern and National Honor Choirs.

This ensemble cultivates a vibrant and inclusive space where students support one another, make lasting memories, and take pride in their shared artistry. Talk to your counselor about joining Concert Choir for a meaningful musical journey—one where you’ll grow as a singer, performer, and person.

Vox Auri (Curricular)

Prerequisite: Concert Choir (#8376), teacher recommendation, and one time vocal audition

Vox Auri is Delaware Valley Regional High School’s advanced, auditioned chamber ensemble for passionate and dedicated singers seeking to refine their vocal abilities and artistic expression. This year-long course challenges students with a diverse and ambitious repertoire across a range of genres, promoting vocal independence, musical sensitivity, and ensemble cohesion. Building on foundational vocal techniques, students develop stronger musicianship through daily sight reading and ear training, deepening both confidence and expressive capacity as performers.

Vox Auri proudly represents the district at local, state, national, and international events by invitation. Annual performances include the Winter Concert (December), Caroling Tour (December), District Arts Festival (March), Spring Concert (May), and Commencement Ceremony (June). In addition, members may participate in exciting opportunities such as performing at Walt Disney World every four years. Required dress rehearsals outside of school hours are announced on the first day of class and are part of the course grade.

This ensemble promotes a culture of excellence, encouraging commitment, collaboration, and personal growth in a supportive, high-achieving musical environment. Audition for Vox Auri and join a vibrant community that celebrates the artistry of choral singing while striving for the highest standards in vocal performance.

Students in Vox Auri are also encouraged to audition for the Annual Winter Musical and honor choirs such as CJMEA Region II High School Choruses, NJMEA All State Choirs, NAfME All Eastern Honor Choirs, and ACDA Eastern and National Honor Choirs.

Students may also choose to enroll in this course for three college credits (Chamber Choir) through Seton Hall University at a significantly reduced tuition rate. Please note: this course may not be repeated for college credit. Visit our Concurrent Enrollment website for more information.
