No matter your pathway, you will find yourself with transferable skills whether you want to own your own business, advertise, run social media accounts, write more effectively, or just become a stronger communicator.
Entrepreneur-focused students complete Introduction to Business Management, Introduction to Marketing, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, AND Art of Communication & Persuasion, OR a Performance Course, OR Taking the Stage
Journalism-focused students complete 15 credits Journalism, 5 credits TV Media, and 5 credits of a business course
Media (TV Media)-focused students complete 15 credits TV Media, 5 credits Journalism, 5 credits of a business course

Any student is eligible to apply for the Business Academy by completing the Academy Application (link below).
In order to successfully graduate from the Business Academy, students must complete:
Entrepreneur: Introduction to Business Management, Introduction to Marketing, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, AND Art of Communication & Persuasion, OR a Performance Course, OR Taking the Stage
Journalism: 15 credits Journalism, 5 credits TV Media, 5 credits of a business course
Media (TV Media): 15 credits TV Media, 5 credits Journalism, 5 credits of a business course
NOTE: Students wishing to withdraw must submit a Withdrawal Form before being officially withdrawn from the Education Academy.

INSTRUCTORS
Mr. William "Billy" Gregson

Mr. Gregson is a former Fox television producer in his second career bringing his experiences to engage and inform his students as they build skills to run the successful DVTV.
Ms. Bessy Kapetanakis

Bessy Kapetanakis is a business teacher at Delaware Valley Regional High School, where she teaches courses in Accounting, Editorial Layout, Career Essentials, Leadership in the 21st Century, and Particle Math for Life. Along with her classroom responsibilities, she contributes to school life as Substitute Coordinator, Co-Advisor of the National Honor Society, Yearbook Advisor and Business Manager, and Assistant Director for the Fall Play.
Mrs. Kapetanakis is passionate about connecting classroom learning to real-world experiences. She encourages students to build leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills that will serve them well beyond high school. Her goal is to help students discover their strengths, develop confidence, and become thoughtful, capable leaders in any path they choose.
Mr. Joseph Perricone

Mr. Perricone is the former owner of Perricone's (now Duke's in Pittstown). He has both years of experience un business and education, merging those skills to lead the Entrepreneurship courses in the Business Academy.
He is the advisor for the National Business Honor Society as well as the advisor for the quickly growing Future Business Leaders of America.
Mr. Brian Smith

Brian Smith is a veteran English teacher, district and Hunterdon County Teacher of the Year, and Certified Journalism Education through the Journalism Education Association. He oversees the school's news site, The Delphi, which is a multi-award winning publication and currently ranked first in New Jersey.
